The Underground Sound of DJ Nocturnal

The Underground Sound of DJ Nocturnal

DJ Nocturnal (or Christopher Jaime if you’re his mother) is a true cutter and scratcher. His skills have carried him around the country, competing, touring, studio engineering and doing radio. Nocturnal’s often referred to as a turntablist, located deep down at the roots of hip-hop culture.
He’s a member of Sacramento’s epic Sleeprockers Crew, DJ for ARG (Another Rap Group) and a pivotal component of the highly respected Pangaea Project. His unique sound knows no boundaries and his album Too Raw for Radio is oh-so aptly titled—a true testament to the strength of the Sacramento underground hip-hop scene.

The Trademark

The Trademark

Sometimes, when you want something bad enough, you just have to do it yourself. If you need a lesson in determination, The Trademark can teach you a thing or two. Five years ago, brothers Riley and Drew Hamnett, as well as longtime friend Natty Coleman started writing music and playing shows anywhere that people would listen. After several national tours, playing with the likes of The Used, Fall Out Boy, and Saosin, and the release of their highly-anticipated (sold out in Hot Topic locations nationwide) full-length album (This Island Earth, available at Hot Topic, Smartpunk.com, and iTunes) all on their own, The Trademark rounded out its lineup with guitarist Mat Deason, adding a new dimension as well as redoubling their efforts to get their brand of pop-laced rock n' roll in front of as many people as possible.
